Francesca Dondoglio’s works on display at Villa Cimena
Villa Cimena opened its doors to a contemporary art project, hosting an exhibition by artist Francesca Dondoglio in the Dining Room.
The initiative, developed in collaboration with KEART and Galleria Umberto Benappi, and supported by Reale Mutua Assicurazioni, marked the beginning of a series of events that further strengthened the Villa’s role as a centre for cultural promotion.

The exhibition took shape during a delicate phase in the Villa’s history. While four large tapestries in the Dining Room were undergoing restoration by Mnemosyne Servizi, the emptied space became an opportunity for a temporary exhibition project. Francesca Dondoglio’s works established a unique dialogue with the architecture and historic interiors, offering a new perspective on the relationship between memory and contemporary language.
The exhibition was accompanied by a rich programme of activities between February and April, engaging visitors of all ages. Children’s workshops, artist talks, restoration insights and guided tours transformed the exhibition into a participatory experience, highlighting both the creative process and the value of heritage conservation.
